Dose of Nature delivers nature prescriptions for people struggling with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
- DoN delivers an evidence‑based, clinically governed 10‑week nature prescription that reduces anxiety and depression through structured outdoor behavioural activation, guided relational support, and personalised therapeutic plans.
Results from an LSE-led randomised control trial (RCT) showed DoN’s interventions were as effective as NHS talking therapy in reducing depression and anxiety.
- DoN is committed to building the case for nature interventions to be included in NICE guidelines as an alternative to medication and traditional psychological interventions.
- Chimo initially funded the appointment of a new psychologist to focus on developing its work with young people. This has been followed by a major a grant to develop its partnership model, supporting other organisations to deliver nature prescriptions to young people across the UK.
It really has changed my life and saved my life in so many ways. I will be thankful for that for the rest of it.
