Dandelion Time provides farm-based therapeutic programmes for children experiencing mental health challenges, often linked to traumatic experiences of abuse, domestic violence and neglect.
- Children and carers participate together alongside therapeutic staff in a range of practical farm and craft activities through which they engage with the natural world.
- The programme successfully supports children to overcome the emotional impact of trauma and improve their mental health and wellbeing.
- Dandelion support for 290 children and their families per year from its three sites in North, Mid and West Kent and through their Nurture in Nature schools programme and has plans to increase this number to 350 within 4 years.
- Chimo has provided core funding to help Dandelion support more young people.
